Welcome to our Events section — where community comes to life. At Wheatland, we believe hockey is about more than practices, clinics, and teams. It’s about connection, shared experiences, and creating opportunities for athletes and families to learn, grow, and have fun together.
This is where you’ll find our upcoming events, from skill-building experiences and special training opportunities to community gatherings and unique on-ice moments designed to bring people together. Each event reflects our commitment to inclusive, engaging programming that supports development on and off the ice.
Wheatland Hockey is proud to announce the Wheatland Harvest Series, a signature late-summer co-ed development event designed to prepare young athletes for the season ahead.

WHO IT’S FOR
Designed for players born 2013–2018 who are comfortable with structured, high-tempo training and are seeking advanced development, next-level coaching exposure, and a confident lead-in to regular-season tryouts.

THE EXPERIENCE
Athletes will take part in multiple high-impact development sessions led by guest coaches at AA and MJHL levels and a former NCAA player and NAHA coach. This format gives players meaningful exposure to different coaching perspectives while maintaining a strong development-first focus.

GOALIES
Goaltenders will receive goalie-specific training throughout the program, integrated into on-ice sessions to ensure focused technical development while still participating fully in team concepts, scrimmages, and tournament play.

EVENT FORMAT (SINGLE ENTRY)
• 5 on-ice development sessions
- Players will skate twice a day for each of the 5 days
• 1 mid-program scrimmage
• Weekend mini-tournament designed to apply and showcase skills, strategies, teamwork, and friendships developed throughout the event

Players will rotate through the event with an assigned team and compete in the tournament alongside those teammates. Teams will be balanced by skill. Buddy requests are welcome and will be accommodated where possible but are not guaranteed.

TIMING WITH PURPOSE
The Wheatland Harvest Series is intentionally scheduled ahead of regular-season tryouts to help athletes shake off the dust, build confidence, and arrive tryout-ready.

INVESTMENT
$650 + GST
Payment options:
• $250 non-refundable deposit with remaining balance due at the start of July
• Pay in full at registration and receive a $50 early-bird discount
(of the total fee, $250 is a non-refundable deposit)
