Defensive Skating & D-Zone Tactics focuses on the habits that help defenders control the play in their own end. Athletes will work on efficient backward skating, pivots, gap control, and angling while learning how to position themselves to protect the middle of the ice. The session also introduces key defensive zone concepts—stick positioning, reading pressure, supporting teammates, and making smart first passes to transition the puck out of danger.
